Overview:

VEDOP-II is the successor of VEDOP, developing the system further into a total e-government application.

VEDOP-II in numbers:

  • Turkey's most comprehensive e-government portal with 2.5 million taxpayers,
  • 138 tax offices were migrated to the complete automation system,
  • In addition to 200 servers and 9000 clients currently serving, an addition of 400 servers and more than 17000 clients will provide service,
  • Over 4000 men.months of work effort was executed,
  • 7,000 personnel in tax offices were trained to use the applications

Outcomes:

  • E-declaration application providing declaration, announcement and appendix acceptance over the web
  • Automation of units for Tax Auditors, providing efficient and mobile tax audits
  • Establishment of a Data Warehouse in General Income Directorate, enabling the expansion of Tax Base,
  • detection of undeclared taxes and an information support for establishing Tax Policies and Control Strategies
  • e-VDO application, redeveloped as a web based system to provide service nationwide through Revenue
  • Administration's Intranet
  • Data exchange system with external systems in digital environment
  • Call Center implementation, as a part of the new approach that threats the taxpayers as clients
  • Automation of Revenue Offices and Directorate of Revenues
  • Automation of administrative operations for General Directorate of Revenues,
  • Electronic Accounting Registry Archive system (EMKAS), providing a digital registry environment for
    archiving and auditing the accounting records of enterprises determined by the Ministry
